THE SCHEDULE

Daylong Session: October 10th, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm

Before 9 am - Make sure you’re done eating breakfast by 9 am. Have a nourishing, whole-food, high-protein breakfast because you won’t be eating again until dinner. 

10 am: I arrive

10:00 - 10:30: Set up and prepare space

10:30 - 12:00: IFS session (the timing is flexible on this)

12:00 - 12:15: Bathroom break, water check

12:15 - 1:00: Prepare personal alter (bring significant personal items, such as photos, jewelry, etc., check in with feelings/emotions/parts, set intentions, read poetry, walk outside if desire/time allows

1:00 pm - Take the medicine. In the medicine portion of the day you’ll be lying on a mat, couch, or bed (it’s up to you), with an eye mask, and headphones. I’ll provide all the sound equipment, including headphones.

4:00 pm - check in 

5:00 pm - check in, notice alter, IFS session if wanted.

6:00 pm - I’ll leave after dinner arrives and you feel settled. I recommend you order food to be delivered at 6:00 pm. DoorDash I believe allows for orders to be placed well in advance, so you can place the order that morning. I recommend food that feels grounding and comforting. Many people enjoy curry after a medicine session.

6:00 pm - until bedtime - I won’t make plans that evening and so will be available for phone, text, and Zoom if needed.

Other items we’ll discuss as we get closer to the date: 

  1. The music is very important and we’ll discuss further. I’ll bring headphones and a portable speaker so you can have options with the music. 

  2. Think about (and discuss with your parts) an intention or intentions that you’d like to bring into the medicine journey. Write the intentions down in a journal. 

  3. If you’d like you can gather poetry, readings, or anything that you would like to read out loud before the medicine. 

  4. Gather any meaningful items that you would like to place on an alter nearby. You can use a tray or a large plate as the alter. 

  5. Items for your space that day:

    • Mat to lay on (or if you prefer a couch or bed)

    • Sheets and blankets (have an extra blanket nearby just in case you start to feel really cold)

    • An eye mask

    • A glass for water (I’ll handle and refill as necessary)
